Topics raised in this discussion included the possible addition of an indicator on culture to the Irish Wellbeing Framework; the need to base the Framework on things that we really value, rather than data that is ‘lying around’; the potential power of the Irish language; the role of technology; the need to avoid Irish exceptionalism and anthropocentrism; the relationship between design, culture, values and the future; and Irish culture’s high acceptance of uncertainty and relative lack of hierarchy.
