Nathan Hutchinson Edgar is a recent graduate of Trinity College Dublin, having achieved a first-class
honours in Environmental Science.
He is the outgoing Environmental Officer of Trinity College Dublin’s Student Union. Throughout the
year he campaigned for various initiatives, such as increased plant-based food on campus. He has
also consistently highlighted the ties between polluting corporations and college research, in an
attempt to push the college in a more sustainable direction. He has worked closely with the college
in supporting the development of an Education for Sustainable Development strategy.
Along with this he has campaigned with various environmental groups, such as Extinction Rebellion
(around COP27) and Young Friends of the Earth Ireland. He has also helped to develop and run
several climate cafés to explore the emotional impact of the climate crisis.
