Ellen Duggan

Ellen Duggan is an English student in Trinity College Dublin, who has recently taken up a New Minor subject in Middle Eastern, Jewish and Islamic Civilisations after completing her first year of her degree.

She is the incoming Chairperson of the Environmental Society of Trinity College Dublin, have previously occupied the role of the society’s secretary, where she was responsible for the society’s communications and for overseeing a wide range of events. She has hosted a radio show called ‘The Green Scream,’ on Trinity FM (co-hosted by Roisin Dolliver), where students discussed different aspects of the ongoing ecological crisis. 

She recently organised a second-hand clothes sale which raised over €650 in aid for Gaza. Having grown up in rural Tipperary and with a strong family connection to agriculture in Ireland, she is passionate about a just transition while continuing to tackle Ireland’s soaring agricultural emissions.
