Dr. Mark Walsh

Mark Walsh is an associate professor of mathematics at Maynooth University. His primary research is in geometrical analysis and concerns space and curvature. He is also interested in the role of mathematics and science in society and in enhancing public understanding of these disciplines. Much of his writing in this sphere concerns how science is distorted by capitalism and the ecological and societal consequences of this. A frequent contributor to the Irish Marxist Review and RebelNews.ie, Walsh is an eco-socialist and a member of People Before Profit.
