Dr Peter Doran is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Law, Queens University Belfast & and one of the core group of individuals who convene the Wellbeing Economy Alliance hub on the island of Ireland.
He worked closely with the Carnegie Trust (UK) on a high-level roundtable on wellbeing in Northern Ireland, leading to the production of a Programme for Government based on collective wellbeing outcomes.
Dr Doran is also a senior editor/writer with the International Institute for Sustainable Development’s UN reporting service, Earth Negotiations Bulletin, and a member of the steering group for the Environmental Justice Network Ireland (EJNI).
A former journalist, Dr Doran continues to write and contribute to a number of media organisations, including regular commentary for CGTN.
He describes himself as an activist-academic, focusing on the ‘Rights of Nature’, the ‘attention economy’, ‘the wellbeing economy’ and ‘the commons’.
